Thanks for the info, OK! I bet you're right; there won't be many non-resident UT instructors if you have to go there to renew. It's a hassle for me, just going to Austin every other year. I'm a Texas Instructor, and I originally got my FL CHL before Texas got reciprocity with Colorado, and I'd planned a trip to CO. I don't travel much, and the Florida permit covered everything I needed and more. We now have reciprocity with about as many states as does Florida, but I'm going to renew my FL license when it comes up this year, mostly because it overlaps with my Texas CHL timewise, and DPS has had some outrageous delays processing renewals over the past year. (They seem to be catching up some now, though.) Besides, I like the fact that my Florida license has Charles Bronson's name on it.

NH may not be as good at recognizing out-of-state permits as some, but it makes up for it by being one of the easiest and least expensive to get a non-resident permit from. IIRC, last time around they even sent out a renewal reminder.
