I’ve read all the Longmire books, and I’m finishing up the Joe Pickett series.
Is there another series in that genre that’s worth reading?

CJ Box Joe Pickett series is pretty good. Game warden mystery/crime stories. I like James Lee Burke, too. Southern gothic crime stories. Goes kinda overboard on the atmospherics at times, but that’s okay.
Marshall Wheeling recommended a good series a while back, maybe three books set in New Orleans (?) that was pretty good... Can’t recall the author off hand...
You ever read Tony Hillerman? Navajo cops. Great stories set mostly on the rez.
....
For something with a Western setting, try Peter Bowen’s Gabriel du Pre series, set in Montana east of the divide..
Another series in the outdoor mystery genre just came to mind of which I’ve read several although not all, and enjoyed them:
William Kent Krueger’s Cork O’Connor series. “Iron Lake” was the first, there are at least six or eight more by now. It’s set in the Northern Minnesota lake country and the sleuth is a retired Chicago cop who came back to his hometown there (or something like that).
