What's everyone's favorite holster for their Shield Plus?

Years ago, I worried more about printing. Now, we have open carry in Texas.

I don't open carry, but I no longer worry that much about printing. Unless you are a cute girl, most people are not paying that much attention to you anyway. :p

So, after almost a decade and a half of IWB, I switched to OWB carry, as it is much more comfortable...

I like this style of holster (minimal holster) because anything bigger gives me pain on my side. I'm a thin guy too, but big pieces of polymer or leather on my hip area makes my side hurt after a little while. So, I just use a minimum sized OWB holster. Granted - as per my S&W customer service thread, having an open holster invites damage to the gun if you bang it on a chair armrest. But, I have been carrying a gun this way for years, and that was the very first time I actually damaged a gun in my holster...

Anyway - I like this Versa Carry Protector:

And, this Galco Matrix (photo below) is actually my all time favorite holster. I got one back when I had a HK USPc 9mm. But, it works for many other guns. I also bought one for a Sig 229. Between the two of them, they fit almost all my guns.

For the non-optic Shields I prefer my Tulster Profile IWB with metal clip or my Crossbred Super Tuck = two clips
I also use a Sticky Pocket Holster a bunch for just putting one of them in a coat pocket or pants pocket, works very well IMO...
On the OR Shield I have two Blackhawk holsters, an OWB Paddle & a grey IWB cut for optics...
All Shown Below

Good Luck in your search for the perfect holster

I have a first generation Shield. I use a Wild Bill's Concealment Fusion Paddle Holster. Easy on / easy off - small comfortable paddle. I started using one of these with a Glock 23 when I carried concealed while working and got one for my shield when I retired. I am an average size person and never liked an IWB holster. Always liked leather. I prefer to be able to quickly take off a holster with pistol when sitting at a desk or riding long distance in a car. Many of the other paddle type holster had too large of a paddle for comfort or ease of removal. Don't know if this company is still in business or not. Located in NC and I used to see them at gun shows in the area. That is where I bought my first one.

For OWB => DeSantis Speed Scabbard
For IWB => Stealth Gear Revolution

At the moment, I pocket carry my PC Shield Plus 9 in a Sticky Holster. Cheap, functional, dependable...and excellent for use with shorts/cargo shorts here in hot, humid Florida. I also have a Crossbreed AIWB (appendix) holster that I really like.

OWB - Urban Carry Lockleather
IWB - Alien Gear Shapeshifter

Both very comfortable for all day wear and provide excellent retention

I've carried my Shield M2.0 9mm in a DeSantis SoftTuk and just recently purchased a Shield Plus and it fits that holster so once I proves it to run without any hiccups it will ride in the same holster

I liked my Clinger Holster when I had a Shield. I actually own a Clinger Holster for my CZ 75D PCR. This is the third holster I've owned from Clinger. Another nice option is Hidden Hybrid.

The biggest thing that made a difference for me with concealing an IWB holster and comfort was pants and belt. I have Wrangler jeans with a little bit of a stretchy waist. My belt is a ratchet belt from Kore. Plenty of support, no sagging, lots of adjustment. Hope this helps!

I use leather holsters for revolvers, but for the Shield Plus I use a "Qualifier" holster from UM Tactical. Made of "Boltaron" (supposedly better than Kydex), it can be configured for IWB or OWB. They sell a combo pack with a matching mag carrier. I like it a lot!

I tried the Crossbreed route, specifically the reckoning style. Paid well over $100 for it just to send it right back. Could just be me, but it felt like a chore to put on with the dual clips are either side of the leather.

Currently running a Tulster Oath holster, specifically because I put an Optic on the shield. However, before that I was using a 1791 gunleather holster(but acutally Kydex.) Overall I prefer the clip on the 1791 for ease of use, but the Tulster clip seems to keep the gun more securely in place.

I’m running a “we the people” iwb for mine. Fits well and secure and comfortable.

I installed a Streamlight TLR6 on my Plus and now debating between a DeSantis Mini Scabbard or, possibly, another that experienced members here would strongly recommend. The Galco Combat looks great, but a bit pricey. Thanks for replies in advance.

Maybe this thread or a new one of holster pictures (ones that work or ones that don't). I'm always curious what other use. My son and I both have Shields and we use completely different holsters! Just a thought. Forgot to add my holsters; the fat guy holster and 9 times outta 10 my Kramer pocket holster.

Raw Dog Defender IWB hybrid, leather against body +1

They want me to buy one SO BAD based on the targeted advertising I get. Do you find that the pistol handle of the gun bothers your skin with the raw dog?
