What's up with barrels

Does any body know when/if 3.5" 9mm and 357sig barrels will be available? Are there any alternatives to Storm Lake?

Available from who? AFIK S&W never offered the 357 SIG caliber in the compact so I can't see them ever offering a barrel. Last I heard S&W is no longer selling barrels retail. They do appear from time to time at various vendors. KKM makes barrels too.

The 357SIG caliber is offered in the compact as my friend owns one and the compact slide is marked "357". It is not a 40 convert. Local police supply also has them in stock. Bill

A few months ago I e mailed S&W CS about a different matter but also asked about 9mm & .357 barrels. In the return e mail I was told that S&W no longer sold barrels. That implies that at one time they did. I've seen some gun dealers that sell S&W barrels, though, but I can't remember who they are.

Here's a link to Midway USA that offers factory S&W M&P barrels. They are all out of stock but it says back order ok. In the 357sig they only list the full size barrel.

Storm Lake sells one for the compact. I have one for my .40C and like it very much.
