I was getting Hoss Cutright ready for the spring (Hoss is a 10 - 15 year old Snapper Pro).

New air and oil filters, change the oil, grease the bearings, sharpen the blades, etc, etc, etc.
As an added bonus Hoss had a flat due to dry rot :(
So, I get on the net, Google the tire size, goto Amazon and find a good price on tires, and order them.
Then the ads start on here...
For a week now I've been seeing ads for mower tires, car tires, ATV tires, truck tires, tires, tires, tires.....
I don't need no more stinkin' tires!

Besides - I sure miss the Russian Bride ads

Computer sites track your wants and needs. They then direct ads to you on things you seem to prefer vs things just in general.

Scary, ain't it?!

You can minimize this by emptying your browser history and memory cache daily.

I was kinda hoping that mentioning Russian Brides would change the ads that I keep getting.....
My point is that I've already bought the tires.
The ads are POINTLESS.
Seems that Google isn't as smart as they think it is.

As an added bonus the prices for EVERY tire that the ads represent are more each than I paid for two.

Come on brides :)

I don't mind the ads on the top banner, but then they went to the side and now are in the initial post unless you are a paying member.:(
There is thread in the office on this.

I don't mind the ads, but the ad in the initial post tends to cover up text and there is no way to move it that I have found.

I buy a bunch of stuff from Amazon, and I get the same treatment from them. I bought one camera, and for months after I no longer needed one I was deluged with what-a-deal camera alerts.

The scary point will come when you start getting ads for stuff you haven't yet realized you will need.

No - Google is still smart - they still get paid from the tire company who is telling Google to run the ads, even after you bought your tires - so it's the tire company that isn't as smart as it thinks it is. :) Happy mowing! :D

so did you name your leaf blower "little blow"?

I've never even named a motorcycle, truck, gun or car.

But *Hoss Cutright* just seemed right for the mower.
It's set up to mulch and will even turn pretty good size sticks into wood chips without a hic-up.
It's a real hoss. What can I say?

LOL... I just paid a visit to a pretty useless Harley site & now I have an ad for a lock or somesuch...
