What's wrong with this brass?

Is this a moisture problem or something else? Interestingly, only my 3 boxes of 45 Blazer Brass have this problem. Every other box of ammunition in my safe is normal.

My guess is moisture combined with whatever mild acid is in the cardboard.

I don't know the cause, but I have had Blazer brass cartridges that looked like that. They all fired just fine.

Probably nothing more than minor surface corrosion. I would not be concerned.

My 9mm blazer brass looks like that too.

Nothing wrong. Manufacturers wash cases before they are loaded and polished before packaging. I think that sometimes they'll skip the polishing process. I see this often with Speer products the most.

I shot a bunch of .223 like that yesterday without a hiccup.

Fear not! After you shoot it you can tumble it and it will look as good as new if and when you re-load it.

I was in the ammo business for 25 years and his is what we saw from brass suppliers that were based in very humid areas.
