whats your latest brand new revolver purchase?

My last "brand new" Smith revolver is probably this Model 66 2.75". Was somewhere around late 2017 or early 2018, whenever it hit the market. I replaced the thumbpiece and sideplate screws. Was not a fan of the black hardware. Here it is in the desert outside Reno. Went hiking a lot during the SWCA Symposium that year.

I do not believe I have ever bought a brand new revolver. Every wheel gun I own was bought used.

Latest firearm I bought new was a Glock 19 Gen 3 from AIM surplus late last year.

My last purchase of abrand new S&W was about a dozen years ago, a 5" 63-4–the only S&W I've ever purchased with "the lock." My youngest daughter confiscated it a few years later, but she does let it visit once in a while.

A few years ago I bought a new old Model 60-4 that the son of a friend had gotten in an insurance settlement (long story) and put up on a shelf. Prior to that there was a Ruger Stainless Blackhawk - an 8 shot 327 Fed Mag. Truth to tell, I don't really seek out new guns, preferring to buy or build some classic design that I "need" to fill a spot in my "collection".

Gotta admit this one captured my attention just as it came from the Performance Center. Beyond that I had a bit of fun.

Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged Holsters did the leather honors. The Celtic Knot symbolizes me Scots-Irish heritage.

Herrett's Stocks pulled out all the stops to create the bubinga stocks.

(If you've never "worked" with bubinga wood you likely won't understand the fact that I apologized to whoever was going to be sawing and sanding that stinky stuff to create these gorgeous stocks.)

I'm getting used to carrying it OWB at the appendix. It's comfy, and thanks to Rob's mastery I hardly know the big N-frame is there. Right now it hangs on a five-year-old black Milt Sparks 1¾" belt, but I'm about two months away from getting my new Milt Sparks cordovan belt that'll make this my Sunday-go-to-meetin' rig.

I wasn't going to buy any more guns...Then I had to borrow a gun from a friend half way thru a bowling pin match when my 25-2 firing pin broke. He let me use his 627 PC. I really thought the 45 was king but I was wrong.

These 230gr WC knock the pins off really well!

The closest I've come is my 67-6 ANIB with all the factory stuff plus a set of Crimson Trace round-to-square butt grips on it.
Barely the slightest hint of a turn line, probably hadn't had even a box of rounds through it.

Last "Brand New" S&W I bought was a 6" 28-2 in 1977, the last "Brand New" revolver of any kind was a 7-1/2" Colt New Frontier in 44 Special in 1979 or 1980.

I've only bought two brand new in the box Smith and Wesson revolvers in my life. I've probably had a hundred or so bought used over the years.

My first handgun ever was a Model 19 (probably a -4, but I knew nothing of such things back then).

The last new Smith and Wesson was also a Model 19. This time a -9 "Classic." I got it about 2018? I guess it was.

I just plunked down my credit card on a used but still unfired 3 inch Colt King Cobra in .357. According to my LGS the back story is whoever bought couldn't find a single round of ammunition for it and decided to return it. I can only imagine it was a newbie's COVID purchase...so those cool guns we hoped would hit the used market after the last 18 months or so...they're h-e-e-ere!
