Update..
I finally made it to the range and ran 100 rounds thru it and it was nice to see that some things seldom change.Around the third magazine, the white dot fell out of the front sight in true M&P fashion.
Out side of that though,it felt good and shot well.No other problems.:)

Those Hogue Tamers are an amazing grip, just wish they offered it with a stock. My latest buy is a Troy TRX Alpha rail 13". Oh I have been waiting for this. Gonna make a M&P 15SS (super sport) ha.

Well the world changed and she didnt kill me, I broke a scope mount last night changing things around for the umpteenth time, overtightened the bolt, so I bought some Medium height qd scope rings, they are going on a 1 piece riser and while I was at it I bought a BAD lever. The second Magpul thing I have the first being the mag that came with the rifle. Reaching over the big scope to mess with the bolt lock is a pain so I broke down.

Hogue Grips for all

I recently purchased Hogue rubber grips for my M&P 15 Sport and my S&W model 411 3rd generation pistol in .40 S&W. I've always felt the stock A2 grip on the M&P was too skinny for my hands. The Hogue grip is just about perfect. I also purchased a rubber butt pad for the collapsible stock, as it adds just enough to the length of pull with the stock extended all the way.
The Hogue grip on the .40 cal. keeps the pistol from slipping and sliding when my hands get sweaty on those hot Florida days. Never felt like I had that great of control with the stock plastic grips.

Well, I hadn't planned on buying anything, but what did I expect when I go to a gun show this weekend.

I found the M&P15 upper #812012, and after a little price research, leaving and getting back 20 minutes for close today, I bought it.

I already had the M&P15 300 whisper, but I just really liked the all black upper, free float hand gaurd that a quad rail (13" that says Smith and Wesson on one side, Military and Police on the other), and the Yankee Hill flash hider. Just a little over 600 bucks, happened to be from the same dealer I bought the 300 whisper from.

I'm sick and I don't think there is any help in sight here.....

I'm in there with ya bud. If I don't do something firearm related at least once a day, I get a serious case of firearms withdrawal shakes. :D

Visiting online forums calms the shakes for a little bit. Cleaning a firearm calms it a little longer. Buying ammo staves off the shakes for a few days. Getting a new firearm fixes it for a month.

So Rod what lower ya gonna put on that?

For now I'll just swap it out with the M&P 15a barrel.

I had a couple of thoughts, one was to get a gun case that would hold the complete rifle, plus the upper. The other was hope S&W releases a lower in the new Smith/Magpul version.
