When did Pachmayr start using the medallions?

Just a quick question, does anyone know what year Pachmayr started using the medallions?

About 40 years ago! They have added and deleted the medallions more than once.

I have a 1987 production 64 with Pachmsyr Presentation grips that don't have medallions, but they are the "one piece" type with the open front but closed backstrap. I'm guessing mid-80's grips.
