Probably depends on everyone running out of money first so the ammo companys can catch up. I don't look for any improvement before this fall. The bad thing about $79-a-brick .22 is that they probably don't have it in stock anyway!

I know you can get that same ammo @ better prices else where. I bought 2 bricks of the same stuff 2 weeks ago @ $30 a brick at Ammo to Go.

When & if this "shortage" ever ends, you know who I won't be doing business with!

NEVER, it's human nature to hoard when faced with shortages or perceived shortages. (even though that's what causes the actual shortages)

BTW, Winchester Wildcat bricks are $18.95 in my local shop. The better stuff is a little more at $20.95. Yes, that's twice what it should be but it's a lot better than $79.95, no?

Cheaper Than Dirt has been price gouging and profiteering for a very long time. I stopped doing business with them when they charged over $150 for "high cap" mags during the Clinton ban that were only $19.95 before and after the ban.

buying .22lr ammo on line? youre kidding right?

"my" wal-mart is almost wiped clean every ammo shippment but they always have plenty of .22lr and 12 ga. bird shot on hand even on the worst days.

my walmart has CCI minimags 6.79 per 100

Federal 550 packs were in the teens a few weeks ago when i bought the last box they had.

Why this lack of tranquility?
I thought all was now supposed to be @ one with the universe?
Isn't that what was in all the papers?
Maybe they were right?
Your just a gaggle of "bitter clinger" types. With no appreciation of the blessings that hath been bestowed upon you!
Cretins...

+1 there.
CTD has been playing up "shortage" on everything they think will be popular if the AWB comes back. I won't do business with them again either.

I can regularly get the Federal 550 loose pack of .22LR (Federal load #745) at my local big box for under $15. It's a clean, accurate shooting round for me.
