We've seen and heard so much about our guns, now let's see some pics of the places where everyone shoots.....this could prove interesting.

This is my club in the mountains of northern GA. This place is beautiful, well kept and usually never too crowded, at least on weekdays. We have a 100 yd. and 300 yd. rifle ranges, two pistol ranges including one for IDPA, a provision for a full auto range, and a skeet and a trap range for the shot gunners.

Spent an enjoyable day up there today, in fact had the range to ourselves for most of the day :D

The only place I can shoot my rifle is a Bass Pro rifle tube. I don't have a picture. It's a small room with a long concrete tube that you shoot down.

It's sad. If there were anywhere better to shoot my rifle nearby, I'd be there.

Bring it on...you can see how big the prairie dog town is from a satellite photo....LOL...we can go south and sight you all in for 200 yards then go shoot moving targets.

My current load workup range....100 yds.

The range I was training on in December....this one went to 600 yds.

Man that's nice to have... I'm currently shooting at Gander Mountain Academy. Top shelf indoor range but it's just that, an indoor range. Looking at a shooting club about 30 minutes away with a variety of options for short and long range shooting.

On a side note, I've been following Stu Offroad since my first TJ! Crazy to see you posting up mods to your M&P and just as well done!

BillyJack2012,
Thanks for the comments and glad to find another Jeeper on the gun forums. You know those two hobbies really do go together pretty well.

The 100 yd range is at a club I belong to. It is in a small town about 50 miles from here. We have room to add some longer ranges but I'm still waiting for word on when that construction is going to work.

The 600 yd range is at a training facility I go to a couple of times each year. I took my first precision rifle course there in December. Spent 4 days shooting prone. Got to know my .308 pretty well during that course. :) It is all about first round hits. Anyone can walk a half dozen rounds onto the target at some given distance. I've still got a ways to go on reading the wind and the mirage. Regardless, I did manage to graduate which was better than what a lot of the students could claim. ;)

I'm a member of a local range but the price is going up. I've used my wife's uncles farm and here's a photo of my 100-150 yard target lane. It's quit and relaxing especially during the summer months. I may just dump the indoor range and play in the woods. The only problem is Ohio winters are not user friendly for outdoor shooting.

I'm jealous. You are really lucky.

Probably not, but try and find the sliver lining. You can make a bunch of snow-man terrorist targets & light them up.:)

Looks like it could be nice place to get a sportsman/hunting license and use the deer & turkeys for targets when in season. :)

You work at basspro, or do they let anyone shoot in the tube? I was just curious, I've watched a few of their employees sight in scopes for people using the tube at the store in Springfield, MO. Not very often, but when shopping and you hear this muffled BOOM, I always run over there to watch.

My place outlined in black. Top is North. I usually shoot beside my house, shooting north. I have a 120 yrds marked off that I use for sighting in scopes. When I want longer range, I go down to the field where my dirt bike track is and shoot east to west. At a diagonal and can get to 300 yards.

Pay the range fee & I use the tube.

I live in the southern AZ desert, we just go shoot, though the state is cracking down.

Amen to that, my shooting spot is 5 minutes from home by quad.
Plus I can stop at the local bar on the way home without ever touching pavement!
The better half and her .40 XD:

I got dis-enchanted with our local gun club (too many egos), so I bought 160 acres. Its about 30 minutes from our house and, with three ponds, its a great place to shoot, fish or just ride 4wheelers.

Here is a picture of my son-in-law getting grandson started right.
