Hi everyone here are some photos of where I live in the Málaga province of Andalucía, Spain. We have a lot of good hunting here (my favourite is the red stag, fallow deer and wild boar with my bow) Lots of great gun shops, lots of gun ranges and clubs too.

I know this will probably bring back a lot of memories for the members I spoke to recently here who served in the military and had stopped over here in this area :)

Wow! You have made me want to visit! How are the gun laws there for a resident? Are you a full-time resident?

Hi, I am from Scotland (E.U) so all we need to do is apply for a residency card, there are millions of Scots and English living here. You would need to be a resident to own a firearm here.

Lots of American tourists here for hunting, and general "vacation".

very nice indeed...i love to hunt boar...we have some big ones here in the south....great photo's!

1911 Girl-

What superb photos! Please do keep posting. I'm sending links to your topics to my grown children. I want my daughter to show the photos to her own kids and to her students.

You mentioned Chorizo. That's a pork sausage? Does Spain have tortillas, or is that just a Mexican thing? What goes into tapas? We have no Spanish restaurants here.

BTW, many Americans of the less educated masses do not know the difference betwen a Spaniard and a Mexican! I was once asked that by a woman who was literally engaged to marry a man from Malaga!
I had to explain that Spaniards are Europeans!

There is a HUGE difference, the Spanish do not like being compared to as Mexicans as well, they get really offended.

Tapas is a mixture of food like deep fried calamari, patatas bravas, Russian salad, rosada a la plancha, langoustines... i love to go to a tapas bar (loads here) and order some tapas with some ice cold beer.

Check this out

Yeah chorizo is a Spanish sausage which is not like a "typical" pork sausage, really nice flavours.

Spain is multicultural just like the US, Scotland etc. Plenty of Mexican, Chinese, Italian, etc restaurants especially in the cities and tourist areas :)

1911, those are beautiful pictures. Bring back memories of my stay in Andorra back in '70. I was allowed some travel in Spain, courtesy of the Generalissimo and one Senor Bulto. But never got to the Moorish Spain. Maybe next year!

I loved my time in Spain. While in the Navy , spent mucho time in Rota and the surrounding area. Got to stay at the La Playa in Cadiz on a few occasions. A few hops over to Torrejon too. Gorgeous country , friendly people , beautiful women , great food and excellent wine & beer(San Miguel & Cruz Campo).

Made me wish I payed attention in Spanish class.

Heck 3 more year of BHO and Hillary for the next 8 , I just might be going back.

Gee, I sure feel sorry for you having nothing but that stuff to look at daily. You lucky rascal!! How old is that part of town you live in?

I am a Navy brat and my dad was staioned in Rota back in 1966. My little sister was born there. We have home movies from there and the country was really pretty. We have movies from our visit to the Rock of Gibralter. Great pics by the way.

You seem to be very well traveled....do you hunt in many different countries??

By the way .... thanks for joining the NRA and helping us guard our gun rights. Kinda nice having a Scot living in Spain as an NRA member.

Hi there, It is normal for people from Scotland (UK) etc to travel around on vacation to get away from it all. I´ve hunted in MS when I lived there, I also hunt here in Spain. But no where else yet.

Theres lots of ex pats here, certain villages are full of English people, lots of Scots. I have a friend from my town who lives on the coast. In my town I know an Irish, German and Swedish family. We have a population of 3,000. The old town is typical Moorish village with narrow streets and white-washed houses. The place’s name derives from the Arabic for "sons of Mukarran" Built around the 14th century.
