Okay, I've been looking around for some simple parts for my m&p 9, and I'm coming up empty handed for the most part. I'm looking for a dark earth backstrap(small), mag release button, and frame tool. I've found a backstrap and frame tool separately on ebay, but can't for the life of me find a mag release button. Google brings up a bunch of sponsored bs accessories that have nothing to do with what I'm looking for, and the couple sites I've found with these listed have none in stock. Help!! I would have thought these would be easy to find!

Yeah, I checked all of those sites, Ebay, Amazon, and S&W and the only place that even lists this item is out of stock(Speed Shooters). Oh well. As much as I want to like this gun, starting to think I should have just bought a Glock like most everyone said to lol.

So. You want to but a different firearm because you can get different color parts? Try paint, or ceracote. S&W can't keep up with the supply and demand.I wish they would just let other companies build aftermarket parts. They would make a foutune off royalties, even if it were pennies on the dollar. I don't know how all that works, but it sounds good.

No, thats just the tip of the iceberg. Long story short, bought a lemon(my first firearm purchase even) from the LGS and its needed two repairs now before it was ever even fired. I paid it off and immediately had to return it around a month ago and I'm still waiting on it. Probably have another week or two before I get it, so I figured I'd order some simple pieces for a two tone look without needing to spend a ton of money or having to ship my stuff off. Needless to say, these parts are non-existent. I see a ton of stuff for glocks, berettas, and every dang thing else though. An all-around incredibly frustrating experience with my first firearm purchase, and Smith & Wesson in particular, so far.

Sorry to read about your first experience in buying a gun...and i sincerely hope it gets better. But know for a fact you have a really GREAT gun there, and i just hope it gets fixed and back to you soon.

As for your desire to purchase a mag release....what is the stock mag release not doing for you that you think you need to replace it?

Yeah, it is a great gun, and I'm really hoping I get it back with nothing else wrong. These guys that put 10,000 rounds through one of these right out of the box with no problem make me jealous. lol. I was just looking to accent my black m&p with some dark earth, and the mag release, backstrap, and frame tool seemed cheap and easy to do. After some looking however, I think I'll actually be getting an extended mag release since I have short thumbs and have to adjust my grip to eject the mag.

@ LeeMax - No worries, good looking out brother!
