After firing mine my lady would like to pick one of each up herself.
After going to the lgs and being laughed at about finding a 45c I figured I'd risk being laughed at again ask here.

She's also looking for a 40c.

Any help is appreciated!

Hyattgunstore.com had some last night haven't looked today but they had 3 left as of 5:30 last night. ...the only downfall of buying from them is the credit card fee they apply to the purchase....

I was looking for a .45c a while back and had a hard time finding one. Finally found #109107 even though technically it isn't a compact model the dimensions are the same except for the mag capacity. Instead of 8+1 this model is 10+1 which I don't mind one bit. I found mine online at woodburyoutfitters.com. Really good people to deal with and the guy I talked to personally searched for it and had it in hand when he called me back to confirm they had it in stock.

There is also a LGS here that has a .40c on consignment. In my opinion they want to much for it at $500 but that's up to the buyer. They are at gpguns.con. Good luck!!!

I don't know what state you are in? The local fleet farm stores has them for $529

I'm in Indiana. Found a couple for around 560 for the 40c and 580 for the 45c. More expensive than they used to be.

The problem is I live near a college campus. Kids come in buy up all the good stuff and send it home. It's bogus.

M&P 40c in stock

Gunbroker.com has a listing for six (6) M&P 40c, model 109303, for sale at $509.99 with free shipping. I just happened to be looking for another model S&W and stumbled on it. I doubt that they will last long.

Contacted my ffl may jump on that

Mmm not too sure how that helps me find one in stock ;) but I got one for 500 the other day.

Still waiting on a 40c with thumb safety for the misses. I may just get a glock 27. Last time I shot one I liked it a lot

I got my 40c yesterday. They are out there. The question is how bad are they gonna gouge you? I paid 509 with night sights and 3 mags.

Hey Charger,

That's great news on the 40c, great find!

I'm from PA. I've literally been calling 20+ LGSs in a 100mi radius looking for a 40c with a thumb safety for over a month. Everyday I call a few more places in rotation hoping to get lucky. I've come across Shields & full-sized M&Ps I've even found two 9mm compacts which required great restraint not to buy. But just not the one I'm looking for yet...

I was reading this post and saw the comment about the six on sale for 509 from gunbroker.com; I'd buy that in a minute if I saw it now...

Are there any other online gun brokers that are reputable for me to consider?

Does anyone else have any ideas on where I can land one of these?

I'm not in a hurry exactly, but I do have the time and means to enjoy practicing with this now. And I've unfortunately learned a few lessons in my life to this point to know that when you have an opportunity to live a bit, there's no better time than now. It just stinks about today's market being so restrictive in supply...

Anyhow, any advice on where to get a 40c /w thumb safety would make this PA boy's year...

I'm also looking for one with a thumb safety. My lgs ordered 40 of all variety but has no eta. I'm 3rd on the list.

That's a good choice, call me old-fashioned but I just feel more comfortable with a positive safety... And I've read that S&W support removal of the mechanism if you ever wanted to take it off... by an experiences smith of course...

Great Luck in the hunt, it seems they're out there. I'm just two steps behind everytime I speak with a new dealer.

For what it's worth, I'm not sure how regional distributors are to the LGS channel but many folks on the eastern side of PA have said that not even their distributors have any compacts. And nobody is getting shipments of anything they've ordered on any regularity. We're just in the eye of the hurricane, need to let it pass and things will get back to normal. I only hope that doesn't take 3mo, followed by 6 more months of inflated prices because we've all become conditioned to expect higher costs from supply driven inflation.

Whatever.

Are you in PA? I've got a very organized and annotated spreadsheet of about 40 LGSs that I call now; ranging from northern border to Philly...

I'll find one. Luck is when hard work and opportunity cross paths...
