Where to obtain a Shield .45 with the ported barrel?

Did they stop making them for a reason?
Are the non-ported ones "better"?

The only ones I am finding are used.

Didn't find anyone with new ones in stock.

GunBroker has a bunch but they are the non-ported versions.

One is shown on GUNS.com sheild 2.0 ported 45 with fiber optic sights if you feel the need & maybe it's up to date !

I did see that but Guns.com tends to run on the higher side with prices.
May have found one for $579.99.

Last week I bought a new Performance Center Shield 2.0 45acp with 4" barrel and a gun cleaning kit from Good 4 Guns - $380 plus tax. I'm picking it up at G4G to avoid shipping and handling. Their website said they had "more than 5" on hand. Grab-a-Gun also had them in stock in both the 4" and 3.3" barrel lengths.

These guns qualify for the $50 S&W rebate.

Grab-a-Gun is out of stock on the ported barrel which is why I inquired about it. If the ported barrel received bad reviews, there seems to be a number of places with the regular Shield available.

If I opt for the regular Shield, I may go for the 4 inch barrel
