Looking at this one on Amazon: Harris Engineering S-BRM Hinged Base 6 - 9-Inch BiPod I have the standard forgrip and would need to do the sling mount.

Anyone buy this and would this model be ready out of the box without an adapter?

Thanks

On my MP10, I use the Harris 9-13" with swivel and notched legs [HBLMS] and quick adjust knob option [747] along with a Harris Rota-Pod [RBA-3] and the Harris adapter stud [M1A]. This is in combination with an Atlas Accu-shot BT13QK monopod on a Magpul PRS stock. This fits my body size and the shooting surfaces I encounter.

The Harris bipods website is a good source for your research ... Harris Bipods.

You really need to determine your mission criteria, and purchase the right sized tool for your job, your body and your gun.

Crosscheck63, just read back through my last post and realized it was a little blunt. I apologize for that. I just want to clarify that all Harris bipods should work with your rifle with the correct sling stud adapter (probably HB2 or HB2A for the OEM handguard) on your handguard. You just need to look at the conditions where you commonly shoot to insure that you get the right sized bipod legs. The 6-9" legs work well on most benches and ground positions (provided you don't have an overly large body frame or arthritis/flexibility impairments).

Thanks for your input.

I just want to order the proper setup so I can start taking it to the range on a regular basis.
