Which model MP 15

I am new here and have acquired a MP15 that I cannot identify.It has a S&W marked fore end 7" long with a Troy industries imprint,a YHM folding front sight/ gasblock attached with machine /Allen socket bolt and a YHM Mbus rear sight.
Pictures attached any info provided will be appreciated .thanks Karl
Btw I was told it was a 15x but cannot fine an example of a 15x in the same configuration

Is it an entire SW upper? If so- run the serial number

It's quite possible that the upper and lower are not an original matched set, or that pieces and parts have been modified. There is no real way of knowing.

But you can call S&W and find how the lower receiver left their factory.

Might help if you can post a whole detailed photo of the MSR (Modern Sporting Rifle),even if it's in two or three close up photos of each section. DON'T show or just block out the #SS number (NOT a good thing to let everyone see).
