I also posted this on the 1961-80 forum for those who will only see one of them.M 60's.jpg

Looking for some opinions. I know many people will disagree with me but I think I have more model 60's than I need so I agreed to sell one to a friend.
My question, which one should I keep or sell? Both are shooters without matching stocks. Both great guns!
One is a no dash from about 1976, obviously pinned barrel, etc. highly polished, and the other is a 60-3, both excellent condition.
Can't decide if I want to keep the older pinned barrel or the -3 with the upgrades.
I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks, John

How does one have too many Model 60s?

I currently have 3: a 3" 60-3 DAO and two 2" no dash (1969 and 74-76), both of which are former Metro Nashville PD guns, and I just bought another former 2" 1969 Metro Nashville PD gun today and am waiting for it to get to the FFL. Probably the only person I'd even consider selling any of them is a friend who is a MNPD Sergeant.

If they shoot the same, I would keep the lower one, only because it appears to be in better shape.

Get rid of both them and get something nicer.

Just an old cop (and PPC shooter) opinion as a two inch is just a Back Up Gun (BUG) for your four inch (or six inch) and rifle / shotgun.

Great suggestion, thanks! My nice ones are in original boxes in the safe.

The older 60 ... I Like the polish and it probably has a better / smoother trigger ... newer ain't always better than older !

I’m thinking I’d have to keep them both because I hate making decisions and couldn’t give one of them up

I have three guns that I think very highly about. The first one is a model 62 pump action Winchester that my parents gave to me when I was either 8 or 9 years old. My father taught me how to plink with it, up in the coal region of Pennsylvania. My parents them gave me a model 75 Winchester target rifle for my 10 the birthday. I won many awards with that gun. And finally for my 12 the birthday they gave me a 22-32 Smith & Wesson revolver. I still have all three and many more but those three hold a special place in my heart!
