Hi Guys-There are just too many choices! I need something simple to use while watching the tube. Any suggestions on what to get, or not to get? Thanks, Flapjack.

I just bought a Sony set up about $80.00 works great and replaced a Sony we had for 20 plus years. A couple of years back I bought a Sennheiser system with a second pair of head phones it cost over $500.00 when it worked the sound was great but it was constantly loosing its connection with the base fortunately the internet store I bought from had a 30 return policy. We then went back to the old Sony until it finally expired.

I have a older JVC 900 MHz, been working for years. The problem with the cheap ones are the headbands are plastic mine still work good though. Good bet is to try Amazon, they have a 30 day return and are great for that. You know buy and try if you don't like send back. You could try some of the big box stores to try and see which you like then check Amazon to see if their price is better.

I have a pair of Motorola S10 HD Bluetooth headphones that work really well, but only come in one size. Contrary to what Motorola thinks, one size does NOT fit all. So if you do consider them, find some to try on first. I like the sound, but can't wear them for more than 10 minutes. They fit the wife so we kept them for her to use on her walks. They are also different from most as they are worn behind your head and kind of lay on your neck with a tight tension to keep them on if you're jogging.

PS - they will also work with your phone as they have all the controls for calling out, or answering the cell phone along with volume controls.

Amazingflapjack: I have "TV - Ears" and love them. You can even listen to the sound while the TV sound is off so only you can hear the sound.
Check the inter-net.
Regards, Springfield Bob

They connect wireless via Bluetooth technology - newer tv's, sat receivers and cell phones are Bluetooth ready.

I use a Sony MDR-RF985R. Its wireless, so I can hear the TV sound anywhere in the house or even in the back yard. It has built in rechargeable batteries, so no need to buy batteries. I don't have to use my hearing aids to watch TV. Costco sells them for about $70
