I'm cooking chix wings tonight. Thought I'd mention that they were CHIX wings because of the Forum mentality to question everything. First time I noticed that the frozen wings came in a resealable bag.

Seriously? Is there someone out here that says " I can only eat three wings tonight so I'll put the rest back in the freezer for another day" ???

I'll cook the whole bag (usually 12pcs) thinking I'll put half in a tupperware for a snack later. Yeah, that never happens.

I'll jump on a good deal for chicken parts in a 5lb. resealable bag, never saw a 12 wing deal.
Quick smoke 3 or 4 breasts for meals like stir fry veggies or chicken salad, boneless thighs go great with sausage and shrimp. We're not sure if we're cooking for 2 or 4 so snatching what we need and tossing back in the freezer works here.

King Soopers sells Heritage Farms frozen wings in a 40oz bag. How many is in the bag depends on the size of the wings. Sometimes they throw in more mini drumsticks than wings which reduces the overall quantity.

I wouldn't use a resealable bag for anything put in the freezer. Air is the enemy. I buy thighs, breasts and drumsticks in those family trays. Portion out what I'll eat for a meal and vacuum seal all of it before freezing. Lasts in the freezer 10x longer.

Tonight was rare in that it was just the two of us for dinner. We ran to Kroger and grabbed a rotisserie chicken, Caesar salad fixins, croissants and some mint chocolate chip ice cream.

My crystal ball shows chicken pot pie and soup stock in my future.

You're living high on the hog, Rusty, or should I say chicken. :D

since we re now supposed to question everything, did ya put dead little fish in your Caesar salad?

While they are not from frozen bag, there are never any leftovers. Not ever, never. Try not to buy big bags of candy, as view the big bag as a challenge. Lesser men may fail the challenge, and there is no one to stop it.
