I'll start by admitting I'm a bit claustrophobic. I don't like the sheets and blankets tucked under the foot of the bed like a Marine ready to bounce a quarter off of it.
Sometimes I want to kick my feet out for some air and sometimes not.
My wife and I have been back and forth with this for over 20 years and yet, here we still are.
Same with the ceiling fan, but that's a different gripe.
Who likes to be tied up in bed like a moth in a cocoon?

How about buy some nice warm sleeping socks for your wife? That way she won't care whether her feet are covered or not.

Could also be a height thing. I often kick my feet free, getting the sheets untucked on my side of the foot of the bed while my wife's side remains tucked. I don't like it tight down there either. (And I like warm socks when sleeping, too.)

Can't stand it!!!! I used to travel for a living and I always untucked the sheets and blankets, don't tuck em in at home at all---actually have dreams that I'm tied up or an animal is after me and I can't get away.

She's got those too. That's another thing...I can't wear those weird socks and shoe "things" that pulls on like a glove on your feet over each toe! Like walking barefoot in wet clay.

Hate it too. I don't even wear socks until it is consistently below freezing. I kinda feel trapped in bed with the sheets tucked under the mattress

At the other extreme, my wife and I sometimes take turn inadvertently pulling the sheet off each other, causing a bit of friction.

I'm ok if I can keep one foot out from under the sheets, its almost like I'm needing to be able to hit the floor running. Wife says I'm wierd...sure can't argue with her there.

First thing I do is pull the sheet and blanket out at the foot of the bed. I've got size 13w and I need the space.
