I have a Burning Powder book from 1932 It has an extra page at the beginning that saying Limited Edition Presented to W. E. Witsil and signed by Mr. Wesson and he added Us "true artists" must stick together! then says this copy is # 10 Does anyone know who W.E. Witsil is? I put this question under this subject becuase of the year 1932. I know it not about a 1896-1961 gun but I need info concerning this period. Any ideas.

Google is your friend. Apparently, he was a ballistic engineer for the Remington Arms Company.

As in Major (W?) Earl Witsil, who was involved in developing the .38/44 factory load, father of the .357 and someone D.B. Wesson is likely to have know and considered an "artist".

Thanks for the info guys I will check out Google and maybe go a bit deeper. Thanks again
