Who was Robert S. Frielich?

Hello all,

The just received a Colt factory letter for my 6" four digit Python that shipped in 1959.

It shipped to Robert S. Frielich in NYC. I've searched his name and he is referred to as "the dean of Colt Gunsmiths" but I can't find much else.

Can anyone shed more light on who the guy was?

Here is a post card that has his name and business listed on the return address, sent to Brownell Inc. in 1947.
