$560 including the ammo.

It's out of an estate and I may be getting the box and papers (we'll see). I haven't cleaned it yet, but it doesn't appear the deceased owner ever shot it.

That's a sweet-looking 9mm!!
One of my favorite revolvers is a 3" 13-3.
I would have snagged that one too!
Congrats!

Super buy. I'd LOVE to get one of those. I've been looking but it seems that my timing is off or the seller is asking too much.

They only made about 6400 of those, I would make a safe queen out of it. It be worth twice that in 5 to 10 years.

Good snag, and, thanks for
sharing the pix~~!

"What turn line?"

Arguably the best vehicle for a 9m.m. round aside for the Browning Hipower

.
But then Chad ,you already know that.

How many do you have ,,and what is shooting one like?
Shooting a mod 10 in 38? Maybe just a little more snap.

Congrats dude ,,,,Regards ,,AL

I've got a Ruger Speed Six in 9mm and it's great, but it ain't a 547! I've been looking for one of those. Nice score. The Nyclad's aren't bad either. Those are also collector items.

Al,
This is my first 547. I've shot the 940, but never one of these. Snappier than a .38 Special +P is a good description.

Beautiful gun, outstanding price.

Good price, I saw one like it today at a gun show, I believe it was $750,$775.

Oh my, I'm lusting right now! That is one sweet little revolver.

Hey, I've got a question. Now we are all gun cranks or we wouldn't be hanging out here.

Now why, would "Average Joe"...you know, a non-gunny guy, buy a 9mm revolver.

Oh yes, I like it. It is rare, it is good looking, it is a very practical S&W model...but if you are just going out looking for a revolver...for self defense, why would you buy a 9mm? Wouldn't a .38 Spl or a .357 Mag be a better choice?

Just wonder if any of you have any ideas?

You wouldn't, that's why they weren't that popular. For a while, 9mm factory ammo was cheaper than .38 Special (I don't know now), so that was a good reason. It's also a standard military cartridge so there's more 9mm ammo on the planet than people - plenty to go around! The Michigan State Police issued 940's as back-up guns when the duty weapon was a 9mm semi-auto because of ammunition compatibility and that's a good reason too.
