I am sure that many people here are watching the World Cup. When I am at the gym, I am somewhat forced to watch the game played the previous day for at least 1/2 an hour while doing my stairclimbing. I have heard about this phenomenon where the soccer players, sorry, Futball players will fall down after absolutely nothing. I was watching the game with France and Spain. I stopped counting after at least 5 times where a player would get grazed or not even touched at all fall down in what appears to be extreme agony. WHY, is soccer really that boring or do they really hope to accomplish something? Prior to quick replay I might believe that they can get away with it but not now.
I think they should get a yellow card for faking it. I know that there are some basket ball players that do this but football players really do get messed up, no faking there. I think soccer would be more interesting if these highly paid players play and not act. They are terrible actors. I would love to see them put on pads and go 1on1 with some football players. I would even like to see one of them play Rugby.
