Will a Mod. 51 cylinder fit a Mod. 651

Hi,

I would like to obtain a Blue 22 Long Rifle Model 51 cylinder and be able to use it in my Model 651, no dash.

Will a Mod. 51 22 LR Cylinder fit and work in a Mod. 651?

Fit, probably. Work, also probably. Might need some fitting.

The Model 51 is a .22 magnum which are hard enough to find, so those also fitted with an auxiliary .22 LR cyl and then separated from the gun is going to be a pretty darn rare find.

Good idea, but:

Why do you want one from a Model 51? Much likelier to find a Mod 34 .22 LR cyl and it's the same size.

Swapping cyls has the best chance of being a "drop-in" fit when of similar vintage and engineering change. Different vintages have a greater likelihood of needing some fitting.
