I should say, would the sights below work?

my white dots are already coming out. My son wants me to let him paint the back sights orange and keep the front white. The sights I asked about are rather expensive and not sure if they are worth it, but wanted to make doggone sure they fit in case I buy them. I guess I missed the part about fitting a SD9 because I can't find it anywhere on the website I looked at.
IMO, night sights aren't all that worthwhile, and I've had a few. It'd be a lot better to have a good light, or laser, than night sights...especially considering that once you fire the first shot in the dark, your night vision is pretty much going to be gone. Night sights are kinda cool to look at, but not worth the extra expense....again, IMO.
Putting the M&P 9 rear sight on my SD9VE was definitely worth it, IMO...it's a much better sight than the plastic one that comes on the SD9VE. I didn't replace the OEM front sight as it is metal, and has an inset white dot.
Do you think I could put JP Weld in the front site then paint it white?
I suppose you could, but before I would do that, I'd contact S&W customer service...they will either send you a shipping label to send it in for them to replace it, or send you a front sight free, if you want to have it done locally or try it yourself. I don't think I'd send it in just to have the front sight replaced...if there were no other issues...S&W is pretty fast but still it will be a couple of weeks, I'm guessing. If that doesn't bother you, then letting them do it is the best route.
If you do send it in, be sure to remove any aftermarket parts and accessories...or you may not get them back. S&W tends to return guns to OEM condition when you send them in.
Smith and Wesson CS told me to scrape out the sight, clean with alcohol, then replace with either acrylic paint or white fingernail polish and let dry overnight.

I am so confused after talking to CS at Smith and Wesson. The dude told first told me that M&P sights would not work on the SD9ve. I called to get a price on the rear sight. I told him that I talked to someone that had done it, and he said let me check with a fellow that knows more than me. When he came back, he said according to their specs, the front sights are interchangeable, but not the back! I just thanked him and hung up. I'm not sure what specs they were looking at. Where did you buy your back sights, if you don't mind telling me?

I just noticed - well looked - my white sight fell out/off whatever after my range time yesterday. Time for some day glow paint and a toothpick.
