Will this barrel switch work?

Since the 4040 pd uses the same frame as the 3913LS.is it possible to install a 3913 recoil spring, barrel and magazine and have it work?
Or is the diameter of the barrels different so I must use another slide also.

I don't have the answer for you. I don't get involved with caliber conversions, myself.

FWIW, the 4040 & 3913 not only have differently cut slides (breech face), but also use different extractors & extractor springs.

Might be some other differences I can't think of off the top of my head, or am aware of, too (because of the caliber difference). I have no idea if the frame/barrel lugs (to each side of the feed ramp) are cut at the same angle, for example.

I don't think the mags are the same size either, first thing to try might be to see if a 3913 mag will lock in place.
