Has anyone used the Williams Gun Sight Firesight Smith & Wesson M&P Night Sights on an SD40VE? While shopping for TruGlo TFO sights, I came across the Williams sight and know nothing about it except that it's less expensive. Can anyone give me the "skinny" on these sights?

Update: Sorry guys, I didn't do enough research prior to my post. Turns out that Williams offers a set of sights for the SD9/40VEs. Has anyone used them on a 40VE? Thanks.

Have only seen them in gun shops. They look great and Williams has a good reputation. I have Williams sights on two old rifles and they are tough as boar hide. I know this does not help, but it's all I know. Sorry!

Changing the sights would be OK.
But my sights on my sd9 are just great adjusted and fits me 100%. I would fear to mess it up and not having he same results after the change.
And honestly, I don't think that the 3 points r so bad at all. Just opinion.

Yes the williams fire sights for the m&p will fit the sd40ve with some filing just like to tru glo TFO's. But don't do it you'll regret it. The TFO's are so much better worth the extra money. Let me explain. I put the fire sights on my sd40ve. A month latter i bought my wife the sd9ve. And see just had to have fiber optic sights like me. Well I won a pair of tru glo TFO's at a pin shoot. so i Put them on her sd9ve. I wish i never had cause now i am going to have to buy a Pair for my 40 because she wont give them up. My own lazy fault i should have just swapped them for my fire sight before she saw them. The williams were nice but dim in shady and low light. The TFO's well there's no comparison very bright in all condition. Even in no light conditions they seem to glow brighter then traditional tritium sights

Did you use a set for a M&P? I can't find any specific for the SDVE.

yes i used the sight for the M&P ....Had to run a file across them a few times....a sight pusher would be the preferred tool not a hammer and punch......The back one will pop right out the front one will put up a fight .....I was shocked how much pressure it took to change the front sight out....

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I'll be going with the TFO sights...guess you get what you pay for.
