Out of all these rounds listed can you guys tell any difference with later(PDX1) from the original design?I still see the classic 6 petal design with the claws/talons attached to each petal and a copper colored jacket instead of the black jacket.Only difference I can see is the core and jacket seemed to be bonded better than the original design to regain weight retention.I've carried the Ranger SXT and Black Talon on duty and have hunted with the Platinumtip.I see no difference in the design other than the core on the PDX1.Personally I carry Golddot exclusively now,but I've tested these rounds in the backyard in wet newsprint and water filled milkjugs and see no difference.I may be totally wrong,but to prove a point,there is a pissing contest on another forum saying they're no comparison of the old design and the PDX design,well sorry,I still see 6 petals and claws/talons attached.What's your alls oppinions?

I haven't seen them to compare. Is the jacket thickness the same? How about the size and shape of the hollow cavity and the hardness of the metal?

best I can tell from my water media &wet newsprint tests in the back yard,everything seems to remain the same as the original far as jacket,petal and talon construction,only difference I can see is the core,sorta like a Golddot copy in the center were the jacket and core are bonded together.Also the 9mms I shot didn't have jacket fragmentation in the water media like the original from the '92-'93.But other than that everything seems the same to me except the core and copper colored jacket as soon as i can get some pics up I'll let you all be the judge.

The lead core could be prestressed/incised then swaged together like a Gold Dot .38 SB bullet. That would be invisible to the eye yet aid expansion.
