I'm not a big fan of the 5.56mm for my own reasons, so I was really excited when I heard BARRETT has built a REC10. I've handled BARRETT products and I was on the fence with their REC7 but I just prefer 7.62mm/.308Win. I'm definitely saving up for one.

Barrett makes solid products and I'm sure this will be nothing less than fantastic. I've always been a KAC guy when it comes to 7.62 ARs but I'm anxious to get one of these in my hands.

That is a nice rifle.
I have a M&P 10, once I changed out the trigger and put a muzzle brake on it, it has turned into a fine rifle as well. Not in the same class as this one, but I'm not in a war zone either.

That is going to be a great weapon, you can be sure of that. I got into the .308 AR game last year when PSA was running theirs cheap. Nowhere near the fit and finish of the Barrett to be sure, but I am not deploying. I just wanted to wet my beak in the .308 AR game. Pretty sure that my 556 rifles also will be gathering safe dust.

Nope, utterly useless without the can. 16" barrels are just nasty in 7.62 NATO/.308.

A Class III dealer friend of mine was talking about a HK21 (belt fed 308) with a 8" barrel. For close combat, you don't need to hit them with the bullets, the concussion will knock them down!

I have a 19" 308 AR, it isn't really any louder that the HK 91 I had (And wish I still had!) But the Key-Mod forend is rough on the hands without gloves.
