When it comes to 45 acp for 1911's I stick with the 230 grain American Eagle Hardball that moves out of the muzzle at 890 fps. That is about 60 fps faster than the Winchester and Remington offering and have always found them to be 100% reliable.
Because of the sectional density, sheer mass of the .45 acp and fantastic track record over 100 years I am not concerned much about the Hardballs lack of expansion. It obviously works quite a bit better than most and have complete faith in its reliability in any 1911 I own. Just my opinion of course........
