Hi guys I hope everyone is doing well. I was looking at Gunbrokers and came across this little rifle with a starting bid of 555. I loved the way the vintage Lyman peep sight looked so I said to myself what the heck and started the bid to my surprise no one else bid. 672.00 with shipping tax and transfer fee.

Not a carbine but a quality rifle by Winchester. I have owned a number of them. Quality throughout. No plastic, MIM, stampings or mystery metal parts. Good old Walnut with milled steel receiver and internal parts. Congratulations.

I had a947 version, solid and accurate. My first rifle was a Winchester 1903. Took that oddball ammo, which always cost 4 times as much as 22LR. Was a great rifle.

Worth every penny that you paid for it. With those sights you should be able to fine tune it to provide some tight groups.
