Collected, shot, carried and hunted with this model for 5 decades. There are too many variables to make any accurate assessment. Age of manufacture, whether it is a rifle or carbine, whether it has original sights or finish, bore condition, etc. all effects value. But the real deal killer is the drilling of extra hole is a deal breaker for most and seriously devalue any antique firearm. Picture would help.

Way to little info to provide even a ball park value. Serial number should be on the bottom of the action, in front of the lever mechanism. Clear photos needed as well. As it is, there is just to many variations and years of production to be accurate, though any model 94 in decent shape is at least 5 or 6 hundred. Some way more. Non factory D&T hurts the value of almost any vintage firearm.

I agree with everything above, not enough info and the extra holes hurt. There is a serial number on a 94, you've just overlooked it.

Or possibly the serial number has been removed by grinding or filing, not unusual for stolen firearms over the years. If that has occurred the collector value will be completely destroyed, and the rifle may be unlawful to possess in many states.

Underside of the receiver, just forward of the lever pivot and just rear of the fore-end wood.

Good point. I didn't even think about a stolen gun, that could be the issue. But that would be more than unlawful in many states, that would be unlawful by Federal law.

Photos would help us determine value - condition is major consideration. Without them, we are just typing blindly.
