Winchester M 22 problems

Just purchased new 15, 22 a few weeks ago and have run about 450 rds of Winchester M 22's 40 grain and have had 3 issues with dud rds and last issue was last rd in mag tried to blow the rim off shell,no harm to ejector that I can tell,believe ill switch to cci

I've went through 440 rounds of the Winchester M-22 with 3 failures...
1 - Fail to Load
2 - Fail to Fire

It seems to work well in my rifle, no worse than anything else I have used.

Thanks for the reply, my first forum,this gun is a lot of fun, never had anything like that happen before and am really looking for some kind of explanation as to why it tried to blow the end off the shell and is this fairly common

What is strange to me is that many people recommend CCI Blazer for the 15-22, yet on my last visit to the range, 2 employees at the LGS advised against using them. I may try a box or two of 50 to find out for myself. Mine worked will with the "dreaded" Remington Golden Bullets!

M-22 works great for me. One of my favorites.

There isn't much affordable 22LR ammo that impresses me anymore, save CCI. My 15/22 is picky about M22 ammo but the M&P22 pistol shoots it ok.

The CCI Blazer's are the best bank for the buck IMO. They'll run in every .22 rifle/pistol we own minus the Sig Mosquito.
