It is fitting that the Rodney Dangerfield film 'Back to School' was filmed on the University of Wisconsin campus. Maybe I am mistaken but for a 12-0 team they don't seem to be getting a lot of respect.

Eight days ago I sat in the stands at Camp Randall, and watched the Badgers just shut down the Wolverines:( My son was able to get some tickets to yesterdays game at TCB. Wow...

Excuse the side track, but even though the whole world has an aversion to Orlando (myself included) another 12-0 school with a hot coach is making a push for name recognition. Up and down over the years amongst the remnants of the Big East they've had a good year.

Au contrare!

a big win next week which will certainly place them in the National Championship play-offs.

They can easily beat Ohio State.

I DISAGREE! I think it will be the other way around! Wisconsin's schedule has been with very weak opponents...I think Ohio State will easily beat Wisconsin. And the big win will put Ohio State in the National Championship play-offs! GO BUCKS!

Full disclaimer, big Buckeye fan here. Having said that, next Saturday will be interesting. Whisky's non-conference schedule was weak, the Big Ten West was weak (I know, I know, we sure got whooped by Iowa), and their crossover games with the Big Ten East were very favorable. They didn't have to play PSU, MSU, or OSU. Their 2 toughest games were at home. That's why Whisky is getting the Rodney Dangerfield treatment.

How will the Big Ten Championship game go? Hard to say. OSU still suffers from the occasional ultra conservative play calling on offense where they lean on JT to run the ball way too much (see Oklahoma, Iowa, and 1st half of Michigan) and they struggle on defense to cover the more traditional offenses that use a QB under center with a traditional play action passing game setup by a running game with a fullback. Whisky's offense certainly sets up to give the Buckeye defense fits. Add in the fact that JT has a bum knee and it leaves me clueless as to what to expect. If OSU goes to Haskins and trusts him to throw the ball (looked real good yesterday), it could turn into a repeat of 2014 :) or the wheels could fall off and the Buckeyes suffer their 3rd loss of the season.

Here is the new Coaches' poll:
1 Clemson(25) 11-1
2 Oklahoma(12) 11-1
3 Wisconsin(21) 12-0
4 Auburn(4) 10-2 1402
5 Alabama 11-1 1272
6 Georgia 11-1 1269
7 Ohio State 10-2 1123
8 Miami 10-1 1123
9 USC 10-2 990
10 Penn State 10-2 970

I'd say the top three teams look good to me unless they lose next weekend.

Only 4 of those teams have a win over a current Top 10 team and only 2 of those teams have played 2 current top 10 teams and they're both 1-1. That's why us Buckeye fans still think we have a chance. Beat Whisky and we have a resume that Bama can only dream about to which they'll say what about Iowa and then I have to go sit in the corner :( Oh well, it shall be interesting to see how it all shakes out. The SEC game will be interesting to see if Georgia can avenge their lose to Auburn or if Auburn can pull of the rare double victory.

Yea, yea. How do explain the whipping of Ohio State by Iowa (by 31 points)? The Buckeyes escaped by one point to Penn State at your house.

It seems Oklahoma beat you by 15 points. :D

I remember when Coach Meyer had a mental episode in the morning of December 2009, soon after returning home following his team's loss in the 2009 SEC Championship Game, Meyer was quietly admitted into a Gainesville hospital suffering from chest pains and dehydration.

Will Meyer be healthy enough in 2017?

I can't explain the loss to Iowa. It makes no sense. Iowa lost to Michigan State who OSU beat 48-3! Or how LSU lost to Troy, but beat Auburn, or how Syracuse beat Clemson and Pitt beat Miami. We see it every season with how a less talented team catches lightning in a bottle and pulls a big upset.

As for Meyer's health, I think he'll be OK. His health certainly held up in '14 when OSU took down Alabama 42-35 in the semis while Zeke became the 1st RB ever to rush for over 200 yards against a Saban coached team, then dismantled Oregon 42-20 to become the first ever College Football Playoff champs. And they did that after losing to an eventual 7-6 Va Tech. Oh yeah, don't forget they made that playoff run with their 3rd string QB lol

I was at Wisconsin Sept 1975 to Dec 1979. Wisconsin Badgers Football was the doormat of the Big 10. Winning was never a question, it was, "How bad did we lose?" A winning season was quite simple, "Did Wisconsin beat Minnesota?" YES! winning season (reality 2-10), NO. "Losing season (10-2) lost to Minnesota and Northwestern).

I don't care who they played! 12-0 is still 12-0. WI vs MN was a sweet victory! ! !

Since I'm a bit younger than you (I was about 7 months old when you enrolled), I've grown up with Wisconsin being good and Minnesota not so much, so I was surprised to see that the Badgers victory over the Gophers finally gave them an all time lead in the series.

Tomorrow shall be an interesting game. Still don't know who will QB my Buckeyes. JT had surgery on Sunday for his meniscus issue but they're saying he's ready to go. Even with advances in arthroscopic surgery, 6 days isn't a whole lot of healing time!
