How about the end of internal locks? Old smiths are getting pricey but worth it.

The locks are not a problem and neither is a MIM part. Most people don't shoot enough to amount to a Hill Of Beans, even and maybe especially LEO'S, some of whom don't really care for the firearm or shootin' in general one way or another, and that's amazing to me. .

I don't have any question about the reliability of either. I understand MIM parts are a way to manufacture parts in a more cost effective manner. The locks for me is a political/societal issue that I am ready for S&W to take a stand on. Hopefully they are starting to do that. That being said, I won't buy a gun with an IL. The only new Smith I have bought in the last three years has been my beloved 442. I hoping to find a 351 c next weekend at the gun show though.

How about an L-frame with 6" or longer barrel in 327 Fed. Mag.? 7shot (or more)

Amen brother. I hate those things. They are a constant reminder that the company that makes the gun thinks that I'm an idiot who doesn't know how to secure my weapon.

The safety, if the company absolutly cannot sell a gun in a state that elects idiot politicians to represnt them, needs to be relocated undrneath the grips like Ruger does with thier blackhawks.
