I have a 686 with the Witchita Grandmaster sight rib. Does anybody know what each click of elevation and wind age for the front and rear sights equates to at 50 yards. Can't seem to find any kind of specs for it and the response from Witchita was along the lines of quote "I think it's".
Must be a seasoned PPC vet out there willing to share a little knowledge.

If this is a 4 position sight you adjust the elevation for set distances at the 4 positions, typically position 1 for 7 and 15 yards, position 2 for 25 and then for positions 3 &/or 4 you can set for the 50 and the other for a 25 yard center hold (assuming your initial 25 and 50 were set for neck hold). There are four little bitty set screws keeping the adjustment allen head screw secured, to loosen those set screws before adjusting. To loosen the set screws you have to be set between position or the sight plate will not align with the holes.

Gross height adjustments should be made at the front sight (this would be for quick changes while shooting a match, that way you don't have to mess with the set screws). Any clicks should be roughly an inch to inch and a half at 50 yards if I remember correctly, I haven't shot a Witchita sight in a few years.

Should be roughly the same for windage at 50 yards.
There is a difference for elevation between metres and yards. You're right about windage, treat the same.

Most guys I know take off 3-4 (3-4 clicks up) on the rear sight, when going to a metre range. (If your normal range/zero is on a yard range).
If you have your zero set on a meter range, go 3-4 clicks down to shoot on a yard range.

The difference is about 12.5 feet between yards and metres. I believe it's not so much the distance/drop that is the concern, but rather the sight picture that requires the adjustment.

1" per click @ 50 yds.

Hoping you can make it. We'll have to have a cool one. Maybe *someone* can bring a real beer.

Hmmm...I am Canadian...eh

Real Molson's, not the stuff they sell Stateside is good. Definitely one of the things I miss from being on the 49th, real beer and European cheeses on the north side of the 49th. Of course, buying gas or foodstuff is an exercise in mathematics ;)
