WITHDRAWNRare 12ga. Model 87 Ithaca Deerslayer III WITHDRAWN
I contacted Ithaca and all they could tell me for sure was that it was made in 2001 at the King Ferry, Ny factory. It is a Model 87, with a green laminate stock, a fully rifled full bull barrel. It has a parkerized finish and has seen very little use. This is the original full bull heavy barrel model before they went to the thinner fluted barrels. These barrels are screwed into the steel actions and are very solid just like rifles. It is a "bench field slug gun" more for stand hunting due to its weight (10lbs empty) unless your a big guy like me and used to carrying heavy firearms. That weight also helps when shooting the 3" magnum heavy weight DGS (dangerous game slugs) slugs it is perfect for.
