I like the '56 Mounties because '56 was the first year Marlin started drilling/tapping the top of the receiver for peeps and scopes, and because it was the last year before the "Golden Glitz" decorations, I just like Plain Jane levers best.
This gun is pretty dang clean, a few marks and specks here and there but nothing worth noting save the fact that the bullseye insert under the stock fell out, and someone stuck in a piece of green plastic to fill the hole. Yuck. A little walnut would look nice. JM stamped of course.
If this gun sells it will be dropped off at my FFL this coming weekend when I visit to pick up a rifle I purchased. If the gun is sold but I haven't received funds yet I will still drop it off, and when the check arrives I'll just call my guy and it will ship next day.
$925 ***NOW $885 shipped/insured*** from my FFL to yours, 3-day no-fire return. I'll take USPS MO, also Chase Bank cashiers checks as I can walk to a Chase branch and know immediately that a check is good.
Any questions please ask, and thanks for looking!
