WITHDRAWN to Gunbroker
For Sale: L1A1 on unmarked Century Imbel receiver. I believe this is an early Century build using an unmarked Imbel receiver and a very nice British parts kit, including a PARKER HALE barrel with excellent bore! The receiver is cut for the folding inch-pattern charging handle but only for METRIC magazines (normal for this pattern receiver, I think). The furniture looks like it is Ironwood’s “bargain” or “woodpile” wood furniture giving the rifle a good look overall. It did not have a butt plate on it when I purchased it but now has a somewhat battered aluminum one with new looking sling swivel and screw. The upper screw is AWOL, but the plate is solid anyway. I have fired the rifle for function using Port and ZQI ball and it cycled very well with a variety of magazines (I had to close down the gas a couple of clicks once for the Port). I have not fired the rifle at paper for accuracy but with the PARKER HALE barrel, it should be a fine shooter! There is some light rust speckling on the receiver and a tiny bit on the underside of the barrel, but none that I saw on the rest of the rifle. I did not note any pitting. Comes with a green web sling and 2 functioning metric 20-round mags. I will also include an extra Aussie wood butt and lovely refurbished L1A3 British bayonet with scabbard for a full-price sale. Please feel free to ask any questions. $1000 plus shipping.
Bonus Bayonet!
In case anyone is wondering, I did just purchase this rifle recently, but it just doesn't "speak" to me and I have other projects ongoing. I have another FAL, so won't be left with a "Right Arm."
This will be posted on several forums. Email for fastest response. Earliest time-stamped email with unambiguous “I’ll Take It”, takes it. All Federal, State and Local laws apply. Must be shipped to FFL. Local sale in Western WA possible, but still needs to go through a dealer due to State law. Be sure you can receive it before committing to buy. No shipment to locations where it is illegal. If your dealer requires a dealer on my end, extra fees may apply.
