A very interesting 5 screw S&W pre-model 28 .357 magnum which has been professionally refinished with a model 27 style bright blue finish. Its 6" barrel has an excellent bore with sharp lands and grooves. The cylinder timing and lock up are excellent with no endshake and it comes with a custom set of rosewood stocks in as new condition which are very comfortable in the hand. All the serial numbers match (S 113XXX) and its cosmetic and mechanical condition are excellent. The action is buttery smooth, which is so typical of these pre-model N frames from the mid-1950s.
