This is a Smith & Wesson Model 2 type 4 Army revolver in .32 .cal. It has a 6" barrel. The grips are very nice. The main spring is very strong. The bore is pitted somewhat but the rifling still shows. The bottom break barrel will latch and once it is latched there is little movement between the barrel and the frame. There is still some of the printing visible on the cylinder. I can make out April 3 and July 5 but not the year.
The finish on the metal parts is gone. The 3 frame pins on the top strap are missing and the holes are wallowed out. The barrel hinge on the left side has been repaired by brazing. There is a lot of play in the cylinder and it doesn't index well.
I don't know what else I can tell you about this pistol except you don't see very many of them regardless of condition.
I would like to offer it for sale at $500.
I can't find a carrier that will ship a firearm individual to individual even though the age of the pistol qualifies it for that kind of sale. If you buy it I will have to charge $30 for shipping and transfer from my FFL to yours. I can accept M.O., PayPal, Visa or MasterCard as payment.
