Offered first on this forum: A San Antonio, TX PD S&W 65-3, 357 with 4" barrel. Included with the revolver is SAPD chest badge 790 and corresponding hat baged. These are the old Semang Co. badges however there appears to be no hallmark. Semang was a San Antonio company which closed some years ago. The chest bage is the classic Alamo shaped top. The chest badge pin is complete and working. The hat badge is missing the attaching nut and has the alignment pin bent upward for safetyl
The 65 shipped in March, 1982, per Dr. Jinks, and as he noted it shipped as a "cop" gun. IMHO, this one is in pretty good shap for a Texas duty gun. There are no major scratches or dings The bore is bright and the action tight and indexing correctly. The grips are excellent and of the PC style. By the dried oil on the inside when I got them off, they'd been on the gun a long time.
The Cuffs are M-100 S&W with one key. There is a vibropen engrave "Bill" on them with no agency marking. They are working. The retired SAPD officer from whom I opbained this collection thought he remembered the 'Bill' being for Bill Weilbacher.
The whistle is marked "Brass Shield Whistle, Taiwan" and is loud.
Last reduction: $1500 (was $1,700) Shipped ConUS. Not sold wo any location where not legal (your responsibility to verify). This will be shipped to your FFL with a copy of my TX DL, TX LTC and 03 (C&R) FFL for identification purposes only. This is NOT a C&R gun.
