Colt Marked 1911 Government Model .45 Pistol Slide, WWII era, unused

This original “Rampant Colt” marked vintage parkerized steel slide is from the WWII era, and has the “P” marking in front of the rear sight.
It appears unused.
All stampings are crisp and correct, and there is no buffing evident.
The inside of the slide rails and other bearing surfaces are free from wear, and I believe this slide was never installed on a pistol.
There is no serial number underneath the firing pin stop area.
