Hello Folks,
I know, this is stretching it, since it aint a S&W PISTOL. Maybe somebody else out there likes the 6.5 x 55 Swede beside me. I bought this from the estate of a Class III fellow up in Michigan several years ago. It is in excellent condition, and came with the military Bayonet, Scabbard and Sling in the pictures, plus a leather ammo carrier to carry the stripper clipped ammo in, which goes with the rifle. I shot this in Service Rifle competition, and grew to like the 6.55 x 55mm round so much that I had a Remington 700 custom barrelled in the caliber, and it is now my long-range rifle. Mild recoil and superb accuracy have resurrected the 6.5mm in the US to a large degree. My eyesight needs now lean toward the Leupold scoped rifle, and I refuse to butcher a fine military rifle with a scope, or even think about "sporterizing" one. This is all-original, and comes with a book on the rifle so one can decipher the code on the buttstock brass plate, as well as figure out how to field strip the rifle. She shoots just fine and dandy, and I will include all the items pictured, plus the ammo pouch belt, as well as a large amount of stripper clips, and some Lapua brass if desired.
Since I am totally ignorant of the current market for a Swedish Mauser made in 1942, with blueing in very good condition and the guns partial serial number on the Bolt and Buttplate, plus having the Bayonet and other goodies, I will put a figure out there and see what the market will bear. Asking $550 Shipped, or would like to trade for either a S&W M48 or K-22 6" or 8&3/8", or make me an offer via email or PM. Additional pictures or information upon request. Rifle will ship in a new hard case, insured for purchase price.
First "I'll Take It" reply to this ad with a follow-up email to [email protected] will purchase the rifle with all of the accessories. I prefer payment with a USPS Money Order, but will accept Bank Cashier's Checks or Personal Checks IF you don't mind waiting the 12 Business Days for my Credit Union to clear the check (personal checks have been clearing in an average 3-5 days lately).
Thanks for looking at this old Mauser.
