US Woman's National Team plays Columbia tomorrow.

I'm a little concerned as they're not scoring. They are also playing a team, France, that beat the US earlier in the year in a friendly.

The winner, faces China on Saturday.

I hope they take it all!!!

(Yes, I realize soccer/futbal is not an "American" sport)

I thought this was a pro-American forum. I thought there'd be at least some comments about an American women's team playing against the world's best in a traditionally non-American game and and the quest to win the World Cup - 1999 was the last time the US Women on the world Cup. But oh, well...

For the one, maybe two, who are interested, the game is on Fox Sports 1 @ 6pm MT.

I played soccer all my life, but I have to admit that I don't follow the women's game. Risking the flames of indignation, I will say that clearly the "elite" women are no comparison to say, the Premier League.

With that said, I have seen both the French and the US women play in the preliminary matches. I do not think the US can match up to the French.

US beat Columbia 2-0 and goes on to the quarterfinal against China on Friday!!!

It was an ugly victory, but a victory nonetheless!!!

Go USA!!!

...an ugly victory that cost the U.S. two of their best players for the next game against China due to B.S. yellow cards. The Colombian team was a bunch of thugs and floppers - hardly an elite level player in the bunch.
