I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate place for this, but I flipped a coin and this one lost...

I would like to get a replacement wooden presentation case for a beautiful nickel M29-3 6", just as a place to keep it instead of a cardboard box or a padded gun case piled in the safe with the rabble. I'm not trying to make it look like it came with it, I just want a nice case. I've tried giggle to no avail, so I'm going old school and asking via message...
Merci en avance... :)

I had my brother replicate one for me using my M25-2 case as a template.

Perhaps you might know a skilled cabinet maker or luthier that could do the same for you.

He told me that it was not a particularily difficult project, just needed quality tools to do the job.

I need to find a replacement liner for his handiwork!

You could place a WTB ad in our classifieds or check the online auction sites. Factory cases from the 70’s are frequently offered, but you can expect to pay around $200 for a decent one. These presentation cases are not particularly well made and aren’t really suitable for firearm storage. The interior flocked trays are thin and don’t hold up well over time, especially with a gun in them.

There are decent aftermarket cases that are better quality and much cheaper. You might check out Old South Firearms or The Wood Gallery. They both offer wood display cases for a fraction of the price and they are suitable for storage.
