Met this man at the Tulsa Gun Show last weekend, I'm a knife collector as well as a S&W collector - this man makes knives, swords and axes out of truck leaf springs, tempers the steel and parkerized the blade - I purchased one FFOK #3 and just bought four more for gifts. A $500 order could make you a "dealer" and recipiant of a deep discount off the web prices. I don't normally advirtise for people, but this man seems like a hard working craftsman, making a great tool and wanted to share this with everyone here.

I just recently discovered that Opinel knives (france) are all I really need in my home-bound ways. Low priced and very high quality. Try Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I've been a customer for years.

Opinel knives are really very well designed
for simplicity user friendly lock blade knife.

They come in various sizes.

I have one that I have owned for about 29 years.

I use Kershaw or CaseXX for every day use.

the warranty is the reason. I had a Kershaw that went out of production and a screw fell out of the handle. they asked me to send it back and gave me a credit for the retail value of the knife (after being at least 6 years old and being used daily).

I got two knives in exchange both of which come with the same warranty that the original had.

first knife I've ever owned the wife took a shining to.
