Yes I think they are the original bark like grips. I'm just going to clean them good and see how they look. Ihave stripped the gun down and letting it soak in kerosene overnite. I think it's going to clean up nicely. I'll post a better pic in a couple of days when I get it back together. Thanks all.

Not sure how big your hands are, but I replaced the factory grips on my Springfield with a set of Ahrends "tactical" grips (half-checker, half-smooth) and they fill my hands a heck of a lot better and feel much nicer. Worth the money if you're looking.
